Hello readers,
as some of you may have wondered, I have deleted all of myy old posts as I am starting over, giving myy blog a fresh start. I have not been the best bloggers out there nor do I claim to be one. I really enjoy blogging, I really do. It’s just life has taken over with other priorities came to interfere, college, family, friends and also myy recently-found love towards K-POP (korean music).
It has been almost two years since I showed interest in the korean entertainment industry, more specifically a boyband named ‘Super Junior’ that I, with some other friends, co-founded international community for the fans, both twitter and forum. The experience of starting from scratch and then becoming the biggest international twitter fanbase for the group exceeds myy expectation. The fun in dealing with our followers and supporters as well as the stress and annoyance in dealing with haters (but hey.. haters will always hate right?) and ungrateful followers. Although we may not be as active as we used to especially since I am the only founder left (four of the other admins have resigned but still remain important part of the team^^), but we still have our amazing admins, staffs and also new members in our new forum, ‘Super Legacy’, and as soon as I have got myy whole life figured out, I will make a comeback to the SJ community.
It’s only few weeks ago, it finally hit me that I wanted to give freelancing in makeup a try. I am in myy second year at melbourne uni and I don’t think I will be able to take full-time course in makeup school but I have heard of professional makeup artists including those of celebrity’s favorites who are self-taught, one of whom is Australia’s renowned makeup artist, Rae Morris, who has snagged ‘Australian Makeup Artist of the Year’ title four times. She is truly myy inspiration and how she used to work in a different field, which was as hair stylist even though, well… it is still under the same department. I would probably need to start from the scratch, from building a kit, practicing on other people, building up myy portfolio and so on. It may not be easy and I might end up realizing that it is never myy dream after all but I’d rather regret after giving it a go then for not doing anything. The process may take awhile and cost me not only money but also time but if it is something that I enjoy, I believe I could go through it with ease.
Don’t think there is something else I want to add so I am gonna end it there. Next week is the last week of uni before exam period so that’s a cue for me to get off the net and focus on myy studies. It will be a total nightmare for me as comp geek but I expect few more stuffs in the mail to cheer me up this week while I am on a hiatus.
so off I go… look forward for more beauty reviews, tutorials, tips and some random ramblings of mine. Thanks for dropping by.
